Bet Insurance is a paid feature. Any description of a protected stake needs to include the premium, otherwise it overstates the customer’s overall financial position.

Coverage applies to a defined portion
The source permits coverage in parts, with the combined insured portion capped at one hundred percent of the original stake. The premium is determined from the relevant odds, including combined odds for an accumulator.
Returning a covered stake after an eligible loss is therefore different from saying participation had no cost. The premium remains a separate financial component.

Applying coverage changes other options
The source makes the purchase irreversible once applied. A later favourable event development does not establish a right to cancel the premium.
Bet Sale is also unavailable on a position carrying this insurance. That incompatibility should remain beside the protection description rather than being omitted from a feature list.

Voids have a separate premium rule
A void or odds-1 settlement is described as returning the insurance premium. This is distinct from both an ordinary losing result and a successful insured position.
Only eligible real-money singles and accumulators are included. The useful account record separates original stake, purchased coverage percentage, premium, final event status and any resulting credit. The feature is conditional contractual protection, not a reason to increase exposure.
